Welcome to Ruff Day Pet Resort
Ruff Day Pet Resort was created by longtime local and animal lover Amy Holtz in 2012, but Amy’s dedication to pets didn’t start there. Her work with pets began early in life, and she quickly found her calling as a dog trainer and advocate, opening her dog training business in 2008. As a trainer and rescue organization operator, Amy learned just how many families struggled with their pets’ behavior to the point of surrendering them. Her mission was to help keep more families together with proactive training built on mutual understanding and communication between dogs and their humans.
Amy’s training business grew rapidly, and more and more loyal clients expressed a need for additional pet care services. It was around this time that Amy began to feel frustrated with the local pet care options for her own pets. As an owner of multiple dogs of different sizes, she couldn’t find a single solution for all her pups—she’d been taking her large dogs to one facility while going across town to bring her small dogs somewhere else. Instead of wishing for a solution, Amy created one—and Ruff Day Pet Resort was opened.
Our goal is to make every pet (and their parents) feel happy and like a member of our extended family, no matter their breed, size, or age. We can’t wait to welcome your pets to their new home-away-from-home!
